Windrose scales enemy difficulty in later zones to the point where solo play becomes significantly harder. Bosses in Cursed Swamps and Ashlands punish solo attempts with mechanics designed for group play. Naval combat with boarding actions requires covering multiple angles at once. Elite pirate camps stack enough enemies that soloing them takes twice as long and burns through consumables. Crewmates make all of that faster and safer.
